FINE (the end)

Ladies and gentlemen,
our 'Italian language and culture club' has come to its end, and my volunteering period in Birštonas Public Library as well.

Just a last, silly song, performed by the comic duo "Cochi & Renato". The refrain sais: "la vita, la vita/la vita l'e' bela, l'e' bela/basta avere l'umbrela, l'umbrela" (the life, the life/the life is beautiful, beautiful/you just need the umbrella, umbrella).

And to finish, thank you very much to everybody.

Notice - Last meeting

We all know that pleasant things quickly come to their end. So is our Italian club. Next week's meeting - on 28 November - will be the last, because my European Voluntary Service will end at the beginning of December.

NOTICE: next meeting

Hey folks!

Next Wednesday I'll be out of Birstonas because I must take part to a training organized by Lithuanian national agency of European Voluntary Service.
But don't worry: our next meeting will be moved from Wednesday 17 to THURSDAY 18 OCTOBER, same time, same place.

Pay attention: the change is JUST FOR NEXT WEEK!

Hello folks! I just wanna remember you that I'll be on holiday for the next two weeks. So, there will be no club meetings on 19 and 26 September. See you on 3 October!

Starting from this week, the Italian Club will change the day of its weekly meetings: instead of Friday, it will be Wednesday! But the hour (17.30) and the place (Library third floor) will be the same.

Cominciamo! (Let's start!)

Well, actually the "Italian language and culture club" started yesterday, Friday 17 August 2012 (it's funny, because in Italy Friday 17 it's considered an extremely unlucky day :-). The club will meet every Friday from 17.30 to 19.00 in Birštonas Public Libray, third floor.

I paste here the advertisement poster, which is quite funny, in my humble opinion ;-).

For those who don't speak Lithuanian, the grey box in the poster says more or less:

- lessons of basic Italian language for travelling purposes;

- presentations about main Italian cities, Italian cuisine, history, culture, society;

- important information: the club will be held in English [I'm sorry, my Lithuanian is still very basic and I'm  not be able to express complex concepts].

That's all, folks, for the moment. Soon I'll post the first Italian words and expression we 'studied'.
